Get your public IP (i.e. DSL router, etc) in a few C# lines.

Here is an easy way to find your public IP address.   If you or your customers have DSL, chances are the ISP uses DHCP to assign the IP address to the router.  If the ISP assigns fixed IP to you, then naturally you probably don’t need this.  However DHCP addresses can and do change.  This can be a problem if you need to know the IP address for remote support (i.e. Remote Assistance, Admin, etc).   Here is simple solution using a few lines of C# code and leveraging the services of to show the public IP.   I just set this up in a batch file on one of my customer’s machine to run every day at 11:00pm and send me the output file in an email using SendMail.exe.  Now I will always know what the IP address is when it changes.  This saves a drive as I can Remote Connect to the Terminal Server port on the server(s) for misc support.
